Ardennes Wild Camping

Our trips provide you the opportunity to have an adventurous weekend exploring the regional natural park of Ardennes, and to sleep in a wild camp under the stars. To wake up in the mountains is a great experience, and you really escape the crowds this way.
You will be taught how to travel light, as backpacking carrying too much is no fun for anyone. The guide will give you some great tips before you set off, so you get the most out of your adventure.
Day 1 : Arrival in Thin le Moutier by the beginning of the day. Meeting with Benjamin, your local guide, for a quick briefing and a kit check, before setting off for the weekend. Once ready, you set off into the countryside, on a two day journey. Your guide will show you how to select a suitable, safe and sustainable site for your camp. By the end of the day, you will learn how to cook a hot meal in nature, you retreat into the warmth of your sleeping bag in your tent, to enjoy a night under the stars. It is a truely magical experience.
Day 2 : After waking up, and enjoying a hot drink and breakfast, you strike camp and ensure that you have left no trace of having stayed there for the night. Once you have packed up your camp, you set off on your journey. Most people report the benefits of sleeping outside as making them sleep deeper than usual due to the fresh air and lack of noise. At the end of the day you return to Thin le Moutier. We aim to end the trip by 16:00 to allow you time to travel home.
In order to let you enjoy the most of this experience, most of the meals are included in our offer. You will taste a dinner cooked with a stove, a delicious breakfast before leaving on day 2 and a packed lunch for the day 2.
You just have to take a back pack, something to eat during day 1 and some water for your first-day experience.
To take part in this experience, you don’t need to have any particulary skills. Just the desire to discover something new and a different way to travel. Whether you’re an avid hiker or have never put a tent up before, you just have to enjoy the nature.
